Okay, so here's the word on the story:

I've been working in construction and maintenance electrical for exactly 2 years last week. I celebrated such a momentous occasion by reflecting on my working-life past... I made a crap load of money, blew a crap load of money living like a little kid in a candy store, bought a car, bought gas, bought more gas, drove a lot, and froze my nards off in -30 celsius weather for two winters. Frankly I was a little ticked off--actually, I was just about tired of working.

So I got to thinking.

My parents asked me prior to my grade 12 graduation what I would do afterwards. I was a music geek, art fanatic, creative writer, and fashion student--all things I was told wouldn't provide bread nor butter in any future. So I went to try out a co-op, and found myself doing electrical. But now...oh but now--now it's time I do something that I want to do. (Yes I'm ranting like a 13-year-old girl on her birthday "it's my party I can cry if I want to...")

I decided I'd change my direction in life back towards the arts. I thought to myself, I'd play the drums again, I'd polish up the old sax, and sharpen old pencils. I did those things, and I got my life back--minus the petty high school drama. I signed myself up for an Animation Portfolio Workshop where I'm currently doing a crap load of life drawing. Every weekend--life drawing. I always wondered what it'd be like if I walked into a room where a chick would take her clothes off for me, AND pose for me--now I know, two weeks ago actually

So there it is. I'm living the dream, and I'm lovin' it (buddah bah bah baaah~).

The workshop ends sometime mid-April, where I'll have an actual college-application-ready portfolio so shiny and new. Wish me luck, because I'm going at this with every pixel of determination in my body.
